The latest story is "Pinched Penny." I started it a while back, and after a healthy break (during which I was entirely sick of the damned thing) I'm finishing it. There are eighteen pages left to go, and I'll be adding them to the website in August 2003.

The plot: Joe's spirit searches for the missing Penny Dreadful, leaving Babs and Roger to look after his physical body. Big mistake. It's comedy and adventure on an epic scale. In fact, it's so huge, so I've broken it down into seven-to-eight-page sections. Sections 1 * 2 * 3 * 4 * 5 * 6

Number One: "Cock-A-Doodle-Die!" In Joe's debut adventure, he mixes it up with a giant killer chicken. Please don't reveal the astounding twist ending! Also introducing Buzz Bomb, Dapper Dan, and Penny Dreadful.

Number Two: "Secretions And Lies." Featuring not one, not two, but three origin stories for Rowdy Joe! And they're all probably false! Spend some quality time with Buzz, Dan, and Penny. Plus meet new characters Jolly Roger and Babs Brezhnev. All that, and a fight to the finish with Nostradamus! (Okay, so that's mostly off-panel. Sue me!)

Number Three: "Big Little Man." Dig Joe's snappy new moustache as he faces off against Lob Lie-By-The-Fire, two-fisted slacker.

Guys 'N" Ghouls. The illustrated guide to the ghosts and goblins who hang out in Joe's bachelor pad. Some of these folks have pretty interesting afterlives! A wealth of historical background, both real and imaginary. Now featuring entries on all mythological characters who have appeared in the strip. Last Update: 8/03/03, with info on Brownies, and a tease about the mysterious Chester.
